The United Gambian Swiss Association (UGSA), Bahnhofstrasse 233, 8623 Wetzikon ZH, Switzerland, is committed to protecting your privacy. What information we collect
Depending on which forms you use, we may collect:
- Contact form: your name, email address, canton, subject, message, and — if you choose WhatsApp as your preferred contact method — your phone number.
- Membership application: your name, email address, phone number, canton, requested membership tier, and any message you include.
- Members Area account: your name, email address, phone number, membership tier, and a password (stored securely in hashed form by our authentication provider, Supabase). We also record your account's approval status.
How we use your information
We use this information to:
- Respond to your enquiries and membership applications.
- Administer UGSA membership, including reviewing and approving new accounts.
- Provide approved members with access to member-only documents (e.g. meeting minutes, financial reports).
- Send you confirmation emails relating to forms you submit.
Where your data is stored
Messages submitted through the contact and membership forms are sent by email to UGSA's executive committee via our email service provider. Members Area accounts and documents are stored using Supabase, a third-party database and authentication provider. Access to member profiles and documents is restricted by access-control rules so that only approved members and UGSA administrators can view them.
Who has access
Your information is accessible only to authorised members of the UGSA executive committee responsible for membership administration. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics services.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to administer your membership or respond to your enquiry, or as required by Swiss law for record-keeping purposes.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data held by UGSA. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details below.
